Senate rejects drug tests without the assistance of

Senate Committee by providing for measures, which would require recipients of unemployment benefits, State drug tests.

A draft law on Republican Senator Bill Pritchard from Elkins failed vote Monday before the Senate Committee for public health.

Pritchard claimed that the bill had broad support in the business community, but the Democratic Senator Percy Malone of Arkadelphia to cut benefits for failed doping would damage the working person's family.

Malone also said that if he paid the unemployment insurance, the longtime worker at least would get the money back, if a worker was denied the benefit.

Pritchard said his Bill would require testing for methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin and therefore affects only a small percentage of unemployment benefit recipients.
